Teams of college students from across India build for two days, all on campus at SSIT, Tumakuru.

We expect hundreds, if not thousands, of students to take part, with a grand finale on our campus.

The hackathon

Two days of building, on campus

National Quantum Fest 2026 is built around a hackathon for college teams from across India.

There are four tracks: quantum, AI, software and GPU.

The whole hackathon runs on campus at SSIT, Tumakuru, on 28 and 29 November 2026. Every team hacks on campus. There is no online round.

Expert talks and hands-on workshops run around the hackathon, and the grand finale takes place on the SSIT campus.

Four tracks to build in

Teams may work across tracks. A team does not have to pick only one.

Companies can sponsor a track or challenge as a Track Partner. Partners may set challenges on their own SDK, simulator or hardware, and several companies may set a challenge in the same track. See the packages

How it works

  1. Get your team together, from one college or several.
  2. Register interest with the form on this page. When registration opens, we will email you the link.
  3. Come to SSIT, Tumakuru, on 28 and 29 November 2026.
  4. Build over the two days, with expert talks and hands-on workshops around the hackathon.
  5. The grand finale takes place on the SSIT campus.

Who can take part?

Any college student in India can take part, undergraduate or postgraduate, in any branch. Teams have 3 to 4 students.

Can students from different colleges be in one team?

Yes. Students from different colleges can team up. Teams have 3 to 4 students.

Is any part of the hackathon online?

No. The whole hackathon runs on campus at SSIT, Tumakuru, on 28 and 29 November 2026. Every team hacks on campus, and there is no online round.

What are the tracks, and are there prizes?

There are four tracks: quantum, AI, software and GPU. Qiskit is the main framework for the quantum track. The GPU track is built around CUDA. A Track Partner may set its challenge on its own SDK, simulator or hardware, or on GPUs other than CUDA. Teams may work across tracks. A team does not have to pick only one. Prizes and opportunities will be announced with our partners.
